I write to express my sincere gratitude to IVF Greece. After 13 long years we finally had success with embryo donation on the beautiful island of Crete. Our journey was long and painful. We tried everything.....or so I thought. We started our IVF journey as soon as we met when I was 38 years old. I lost count of the number of IVF attempts. We tried all of the protocols several times.
As anyone who has tried to get pregnant without success for some time will probably know, it can lead you to try many things in an attempt for success. And so it was with us, or mainly me, the female.
Our story in short: We tried to have children for many years. We tried everything that was possible to get help in our country. In the end, our doctor said that if we wanted to have a family, we had two options. It was either to adopt or choose for a surrogate mother. We chose the last one. It took about 9 years to make the final decision to go for surrogacy. If we had the opportunity, we would have had that wish to start with the surrogacy program many years earlier. The help we received at the Mediterranean Fertility Clinic was very good. We received very good follow-up from the clinic from the beginning, to the end. There were some challenges we encountered along the way, together with the clinic we managed to go through.
We are a couple from Europe (male-41, female-36). We got a baby with the surrogacy program. Our baby is right now 5 weeks old. He is completely healthy and very easygoing and relaxed.
The first contact with the MFC (Mediterranean Fertility Centre) we had almost 1.5 years ago. At that time I informed myself well about the different options for surrogacy in different countries from India to the USA and all possibilities in Europe. I know that it is very hard to finally decide for one clinic.
My experience with IVF Greece was a very different experince to another European clinic. I was blown away by the amount of support I received from the moment I had my Skype consultation all the way through to my 12 week scan. You feel like a valued patient and you know they genuinely care about making your dream come true of becoming a mummy. The communication between yourself and your consultant is 10/10 making this stressful journey not as stressful as if you was at another clinic, I speak from experience on that.
I am so pleased I found them, my only regret was I didn't find them sooner.

Είναι κάποια πράγματα που λόγω καταβολών από της οικογένειες μας τα θεωρούμε αυτονόητα, όπως όταν παντρεύεται ένα ζευγάρι,όλοι τους δίνουν θερμές ευχές, και εύχονται καλούς απογόνους και γρήγορα!Όταν παντρευτήκαμε με την σύζυγο μου πριν τρία χρόνια καταλάβαμε πως εμείς ήμαστε μια 'εξαίρεση' στο θέμα παιδιά. Και έτσι δειλά αλλά πάντα με πολύ αγάπη και πίστη μπήκαμε στον δρόμο της εξωσωματικής γονιμοποίησης,ένα δρόμο γεμάτο καινούργιες έννοιες, και άγνωστες στροφές. Μετά από πολύ ψάξιμο, αγωνία και προσμονή ο δρόμος μας έφερε στο Μεσογειακό Κέντρο Γονιμότητας του κυρίου Γιάννη Γιακουμάκη (www.ivfgreece.com), μετά από κάποιες πρώτες συζητήσεις με τον κύριο Γιακουμάκη και τον κύριο Δαφνή, η σύζυγος μου και εγώ είπαμε εδώ ήμαστε.
